Privacy Policy

This policy explains what KhMaxX collects, why, and who else sees it. It covers this website and the KhMaxX mobile app.

What we collect

Account details

When you create an account we store your name, your email address, and your password. The password is stored only as a cryptographic hash — we cannot read it, and neither can anyone with access to our database.

Purchases and rentals

We record what you bought or rented, the price, when you bought it, and when a rental expires. This is what lets you watch the titles you paid for, and it appears in your purchase history.

Reports you send us

If you report a problem with a title, we keep the report and link it to your account so we can follow it up.

Stored on your device

Some things never leave your device. Your saved list, watch-later items, ratings and how far through a film you are, are kept in your browser's local storage on the web and in app storage on mobile. Your sign-in token is held the same way so you stay signed in. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes all of it.

What we don't collect

We do not run our own analytics or tracking, and we do not build advertising profiles about you. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

Free, ad-supported titles are funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to choose and measure ads, and may use them to personalise what you see. That data goes to Google, not to us — we receive only aggregate performance reporting.

You can control this at Google Ads Settings, or read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

If you have bought or rented a title, you are not shown ads anywhere on the service.

Others who process data for us

• Our hosting and content delivery providers, which serve the site and stream video. They necessarily see your IP address and basic request details in their server logs.
• Google AdSense, as described above.

How long we keep it

Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists, and for as long afterwards as we need them for accounting and dispute purposes. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal details; we may keep a minimal record of transactions where we are required to.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account and its data.
• Clear on-device data yourself at any time, as described above.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us and we will honour them.

Children

KhMaxX is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app or on the site.
